Here's a fun story about a lesson I learned in patience and trust in God, when I had to rescue my dog after he fell through a hole in the ice. He knows how to swim, but thinks he doesn't, and then gets scared when all four paws aren't touching the ground. But he found a tree branch, clung on to it, and waited patiently there to be rescued. He taught me the value of remaining calm and waiting on God, even when we are afraid. Waiting on God brings with it God's full presence, intelligence, and love, which rescues us from any situation, even ones that are unexpected!

Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures

“Let there be light,” is the perpetual demand of Truth and Love, changing chaos into order and discord into the music of the spheres.
The Christian Science Hymnal, No. 196:2
Let all that now unites us
More sweet and lasting prove,
A closer bond of union,
In a blest land of love.
(I Corinthians 14:7, 26)
And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp,
except they give a distinction in the sounds,
How shall it be known what is piped or harped? ...
How is it then, brethren? when ye come together,
every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine,
hath a tongue, hath a revelation,
hath an interpretation.
Let all things be done unto edifying.
If we feel tossed around by uncertainty or unhappiness, we can open our hearts to God’s limitless love, which brings comfort, peace, and healing.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.
"Oh, may this hour be prolific, and at this time and in every heart may there come this benediction: Thou hast no longer to appeal to human strength, to strive with agony; I am thy deliverer."
-Mary Baker Eddy
“Any life, however long and complicated it may be, actually consists of a single moment; the moment when a person knows forever more who they are.”
----Jorge Luis Borges (1899-1986), Argentine author
"The new birth is not the work of a moment. It begins with moments, and goes on with years; moments of surrender to God, of childlike trust and joyful adoption of good; moments of self-abnegation, self-consecration, heaven-born hope, and spiritual love.
Time may commence, but it cannot complete, the new birth: eternity does this; for progress is the law of infinity."
-Mary Baker Eddy
"Anatomy, when conceived of spiritually, is mental self-knowledge, and consists in the dissection of thoughts to discover their quality, quantity, and origin. Are thoughts divine or human? That is the important question."

"He who gains self-knowledge, self-control, and the kingdom of heaven within himself, within his own consciousness, is saved through Christ, Truth."
-Mary Baker Eddy
"And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel."
