Hope thou in God

Sorrow is salutary. Through great tribulation we enter the kingdom. Trials are proofs of God’s care.   SH 66:9-11 Sorrow

Sorrow has its reward. It never leaves us where it found us.
SH 66:30-31

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. Ps 42:5 (to 2nd for)

A still small voice of calm.

Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord.

And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake:

And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

I Kings 19:11-12 Go

Breathe through the pulses of desire
Thy coolness and Thy balm;
Let sense be dumb, let flesh retire;
Speak through the earthquake, wind and fire,
O still small voice of calm.

Drop Thy still dews of quietness,
Till all our strivings cease;
Take from us now the strain and stress,
And let our ordered lives confess
The beauty of Thy peace.

Hymn 49:2-4 (to .)

BORN AGAIN

It was in April, 1904, that I first heard the “still, small voice” of the Christ and received healing through Christian Science; and the blessings have been so many since, that it would take too much space to name them.

Be careful for nothing.  Be thankful for everything.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Phil 4:6-8

    Daily Bread is a small bite of inspiration for today.

    Give us this day our daily bread;
    Give us grace for today; feed the famished affections;

    “To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings.”
    - Mary Baker Eddy
